• I’m working on a new install of wordpress on bluehost and I keep getting

You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

on a couple pages. I’ve gotten it trying to upload theme settings, activate a plugin, and import a file. What could be causing this? I’ve only activated the wordpress importer plugin.

  • Maybe this article can help you out. It has various ways to address the issue you are having.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

I am having the same trouble after installing an e-commerce plugin “wpStoreCart”. Now I get the “sufficient permissions error” after a login attempt. So I cannot login to remove the plugin through WordPress.

I am looking into removing the plugin through my webhost’s cPanel, but would like to know of a solution through WP too.

    Hope this helps,
