    Hello,
    I am a non-techie person using the free version of updraftplus for backups on my site ever since I launched it 2 years back. So far it was working fine, but suddenly since 4 days back, my updraftplus email alert says that the backup has finished unsuccessfully, and shows error in uploading to google drive. The following is the error log.

Error Message: Call to undefined method Google_Http_Request::getQuotaBytesTotal() (Code: 0, line 612 in /home/xxxxxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/methods/googledrive.php)\n

    Kindly guide me on what I should do.

    Hi,

    Please could you send us a copy of the latest full backup log?
    This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.
    Please use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

    What other plugins do you have that use Google services? It’s likely that you have one that is conflicting.

    Hello,
    Thank you for your response.The only other plugin apart from updraftplus using google services is monster insights. Could that be causing an issue now, thou’ so far both were working fine.

    And moreover monster insights does not use google drive.

    Hi,

    Google Services uses the same connectivity as Google Drive and that still causes conflict.

    Hello,
    In response to the above messages, I created a new google account exclusively for updraftplus and tried backing up after authentication. Same issue persists. The backup seems to complete, but does not upload to google drive. Please guide me on what else I could do from my end.

    Hi,

    Please can you try deactivating the other plugin that uses Google Drive connection?

    Can you also send us a copy of the backup log? Please use an online tool like Pastebin and paste the link here.

    Hello,
    I am enclosing the latest logfile from my existing back up folder as advised.
    Backup log
    I had contacted my host who felt that it is a time out issue connecting from the plugin to the google drive and said they will change the limits for me. But till now I keep getting the same alert through email, that my backups were unsuccessful.
    As I have created an entirely new google account for updraft plus, there is no other plugin using this account.
    Its a month since my backups are not uploading and am really worried and concerned more so coz I am not sure what I should do. But I honestly appreciate and thank you guys for sparing your time for me.

    Hi Hema,

    Could you try to reduce the backup archive split size?

    To do this, open the ‘expert settings’ section of the UpdraftPlus Settings tab, and find the ‘split backups every’ option. Set this to 25Mb save your settings and run a new process.

    Hello Bryle,
    That worked.Thank you so much for helping me out.
    When I ran the process after changing the settings, it took 6 hours for the backup to complete, with more than 13 reschedules.
    This morning the scheduled backup took 4 hours to complete, with around 9 reschedules.
    But until a month back, before this issue cropped up, backups used to take only 1 hr 30 minutes.
    Please do let me know if this normal or is there anything else that I should do or ask my host to do.
    Latest completed backup log is attached. Please have a glance when possible.

    Hello,
    This is to just inform you that my scheduled backup last evening started at 17:37and completed at 1:38am, around 8 hours. Should I ignore this, coz the backup is somehow completing, or is there anything that can be done from my end? Please advice.
