    Good afternoon:

    I am suddenly unable to access my site’s login page; I am getting the dreaded 127.0.0.1 loopback. I have made no changes to AIOS since a few days ago and everything was fine before. I am able to get in if I disable AIOS via SFTP, but activating the plugin either via the admin page or SFTP leads back to 127.0.0.1, so I can’t even access the AIOS options.

    I’m guessing there’s an issue with the cookie-based brute force prevention, since I have that active in my AIOS settings, but with no way to access the settings due to the loopback issue, I can’t disable it. Please provide a fix/workaround for this urgent issue!

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @nerdynel17

    you should try access with secret word so {site_url}?{secret_word}=1

    If you have enabled and forgot the {secret_word} define AIOS_DISABLE_COOKIE_BRUTE_FORCE_PREVENTION true in wp-config.php and try access with wp-login.php ( or renamed login page) it will disable the cookie based brute force

    define('AIOS_DISABLE_COOKIE_BRUTE_FORCE_PREVENTION', true);

    If this is not the case or still issue let me know.

    Hi again:

    Your suggestion worked and I have regained access to my dashboard with AIOS activated. As a sanity check, I then set the value to false, toggled the cookie-based prevention option in AIOS off and on, logged out, waited a short period, and then logged back in. I did not get the loopback error. Thanks!
