Suddenly saying can’t write to backup folder, but permissions are good

  • The plugin has been working fine for a long time, but is suddenly saying it can’t write to the backup folder, but permissions are good on it. Also doesn’t see the .htaccess and php file there.

    My guess your host did some permission or updates to your machine? This plugin hasn’t been updated for 3 months. It cannot be suddenly it stops working.

    Isn’t possible that after the WP core update something isn’t jiving with that? I checked the folder permissions, and they are good.

    Unlikely, I have it on five of my sites (though on the same machine), all is good. If you think they are good, just ignore the error and backup. Then you will be able to tell whether the web process can write to the folder.
