Suddenly out the blue “An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 400”

    Upon publishing a post I get an error and received the following error code by email:

    An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 400 of the file /NOTIMPORTANT/public_html/wp-content/plugins/fast-indexing-api/includes/class-instant-indexing.php. Error message: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method RankMath\Instant_Indexing\Api::batch_submit_urls() in /NOTIMPORTANT/public_html/wp-content/plugins/fast-indexing-api/includes/class-instant-indexing.php:400

    This occurred after the WordPress update (today)

  • I had the same issue as well. The Google index is working but whatever they have changed for the Bing version isn’t. Any time you update a page or post with the Bing instant API it creates this error

    So it’s related to the new version of RM with the headline of “improve api for indexing” which just isn’t working as expected at the moment!

    Please update the Instant Indexing plugin to the latest version to solve this issue.

    Our developers released an update today.

    That should fix the issue, if not, please let us know. We are here to assist.

    @rankmathteam Even though there’s been an update to the instant index plugin, the issue is still there. Click update on a post, page and have the critical issue message

    Deactivate the plugin and works fine. This is on RM 1.0.80.1 and 1.1.4 of the index plugin

    Can you please ensure that everything, including WordPress & all your plugins/themes are updated to the latest versions?

    Do clear the caches afterward.
