• Hi!

Running Version 4.9.13 on WP 5.8.2

Plugin has been working fine for years and I have not edited anything.

Now I get a “There has been a critical error on this website” error.

Only way I can get the frontpage of the site to load is deleteing the Divi section containing the Category Posts Widget code.

Disabling the plugin in Dashboard never finishes, reloading the dashboard shwos the plugin still being active.

Adding to my problems is the fact that I just manage posts on the site, I was not involved in creating it.

Is there a way to re-install the plugin keeping all settings?

Yes a complete WP n00b ?? but well versed in ftp.

Or any ideas why the plugin all of a sudden results in the page not loading?

    Thanks in advance /dibblah

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

The Category Posts Widget settings are stored in the DB an will keepet.

You can use a FTP client and delete the complete folder category-posts-widget [your-wordpress-installation]/wp-content/plugins/category-posts-widget
Than the error should be gone, if it comes from the widget

Then try to install the widget again. As mentioned the settings haven’t be deleted

You can write us here for for non public data, because I guess it’s not only the Category Posts Widget: https://tiptoppress.com/contact/
