Hello everyone, please, I need your help.

Yesterday everything was fine and working on my website and suddenly this morning:

1.- Part of my homepage disappeared (a sidebar and the footer).

2.- When I want to create a new post I select an image to use it as featured image and nothing happends. It doesn’t show. This worked fine yesterday.

3.- I was checking for errors on my dashboard and the Widgets are stuck. I can’t move anything. Even the ‘screen mode’ is stuck. This is happening only in the widgets section (I think this problem is related to problem #1).

I don’t know what to do. I didn’t make any changes on my codes or html recently and I didn’t update wordpress or intalled anything. I waited hoping it was going to correct by itself but it’s been almost 12 hours so I don’t think that’s happening.

    Help please ??

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

The strage thing is, when I look into the source code, I can see the html of the part that disappeared on my homepage and everything is there, it just doesn’t appear.

If I add some html to the file and I update it, It appears only if it’s located above the part where everything dissapeared. If I put it in that “zone” it doesn’t appear.

I don’t know what to do. I’m kind of stressed out because it is a news website and my client is freaking out :S

My widget dashboard is still stuck.

Site url? Help is free but psychic costs extra.

Try getting rid of some of the javascript in the lower part of the page.

I did, those are some plugins I’m using (a slide and a popup), but doing what you told me before doesn’t make it work.

Yes, but part of my homepage is still missing.

All of a sudden, a few minutes ago, the dashboard is no longer stuck and I can select an image as featured on my posts…and I didn’t change anything! weird…but I’m happy it’s working now.

The only thing that hasn’t changed is the homepage. I’m reading all over the forum here for solutions but nothing is working. I’ll keep trying.

Thanks for your help and time Esmi.

I think the issue is in your theme.

simple solution you have added wrong embed code for youtube video remove and check. dont say thanks enjoy

Your iframe tag is not closed. i think you used widget to embed the video close iframe tag and issue fixed
