We’ve noticed yesterday that our thousands of subscribers have disappeared from JetPack. Now only three are listed. Besides updating WordPress and JetPack, nothing significant has happened to cause this to occur. How do we get our subscribers back?

    Hey @samrueby,

I found your subscribers and migrated them back to where they belong.

Looks like what happens is that you moved from a development site to a production version of the site (or vice-versa) without disconnecting Jetpack first. Your subscribers and historical stats are all attached to a unique blog ID that’s specific to the URL, so if the URL changes while Jetpack is still active, those data get a little lost in our system. But we can almost always find them again.

To prevent this from happening in the future, you can disconnect Jetpack before you do any cloning / merging / whatever. ??

Do you want us to merge in the stats that got aggregated for the new blog ID as well? Looks like a chunk of time from ~ November 22 to today that’s missing.

Thank you. Yes, I think merging would be the correct thing to do.

You’re right- I turned on ‘non-production’ mode on our Staging site (once I learned that existed!). The thing is though, I did disconnect the staging site first. When I did that, it disconnected Production as well! I reconnected Production and turned on non-production mode on the staging site. I thought I was all-set until we noticed the subscribers were missing.

Hi again! All merged, and all set.

I’m going to mark this thread as resolved now, but feel free to reach back out if you still need us. You can simply mark the Status as “not resolved” in the right sidebar.

    Cheers!

I lost all of my subscribers, although the number is listed on my blog page along with the “subscribe” button. I had myself on that list and realized I was no longer getting notifications to that email address. Have I lost all the addresses?
