Suddenly I can't Publish Posts or Pages

  • My site was fine. It’s a new site, a test site, and so I’ve been adding plugins to see how they work for my actual site.

    Last night I noticed that all of a sudden, I no longer have the ability to publish new posts or pages. Everything is now set to “Draft.” My choices are “Draft” or “Pending Review.”

    If I make a draft, and then do a quick edit, THEN I can publish.

    All my old pages and posts are fine.

    What I tried:
    I deactivated the two most recent plugins — Author Avatar and Welcome Pack — since I know that it was working before then

    Here are my currently active plugins:

  • Check that you are logged in with full Admin status.

    That’s what I thought happened at first, that WP thought that I was no longer Admin. But I was logged in, and I clicked on Users, and there I was, and my role is still Administrator.

    Any other ideas? I’m at a standstill until I get this fixed.

    It might be he Jetpack. When updated Jetpack, I couldn’t publish new posts. I can publish by temporarily deactivating jetpack and then publishing post, then reactivating.

    Deactivated some of the features I didn’t need and now publishing works fine
