Suddenly getting a lot of 403 errors with many links, but all are working

I checked my test site running BLC and it doesn’t show any incorrect reports in there.

Can you tell us what couple of those broken links are?
Have you checked if the URLs are available from all locations? For example with a tool like https://www.uptrends.com/tools/uptime

Can you expand the report for one or more URLs to see the details and share a screenshot like this: https://i.imgur.com/v9dE89S.png

But those links are fine, and when I click on Recheck, it comes back still as 403.

And yet when I click those links, I can go there no problem at all.

So is this a real issue and is it going to be fixed?

Sorry for the delay here.

I tested one of the reported links but couldn’t replicate the issue.

All of the links from nolo return 403 or is there any link that shows 200 status?

The Broken Link checker plugin will use your site IP to check the links, if you have multiple links from the same website it is possible the service will block your requests after some verifications.

To prevent it you can exclude the website from checking on WordPress > Settings > Link Checker > Which Link to check.

Well, all the links that were previously reported in error as 403 are now gone already from the plugin.

The issue seems to have gone away. on its own.
