    Hi,

the Plugin is really nice. I use it on three websites. Last month, everything runs fine and we changed nothing. But now suddenly I can’t save the Setting. If I push the “save button” I can only download a php file named edit.php. This file includes this:

    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC “-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN”>
    <html><head>
    <title>200 OK</title>
    </head><body>
    <h1>OK</h1>
<p>The server is temporarily unable to service your
request due to maintenance downtime or capacity
    problems. Please try again later.</p>
    </body></html>

It happend on all three websites, but there are all on different severn. So I think it is not a server problem. In the same system I had a problem to import the sql into a new database. There is the error in wp_pr_em_meta: #1709 – Index column size too large. The maximum column size is 767 bytes.

    Event Manager Version 5.6.6.1

    Thank you for help!

  • Hi,

This looks like a server issue to me, especially if all three sites are on the same server.

It’s possible this is a conflict caused by your theme or another plugin. To check if it is, can you test with all other plugins deactivated and while running the default WordPress theme?

    Hi,

    thank you for your answer.

The problem is very strange, because the sites are not on the same server but by the same hoster(Strato). And I find out that the problem is a Server-Side Security thing of the hoster against spam. After some hours everything runs ok. I don’t know how I trigger the problem. I had it two times while I was worked on the SQL import problem wp_em_meta. But I don’t saved the setting in the while.

The wp_em_meta SQL problem I solved by deleted the row before export and I import it without the row into the new system. Now it seems to run.

If this problem reappears it sounds like something you’d need to take up with your hosting company.

I’m having problem that I couldn’t save the setting of Event Manager Plugin. The page prompted <404 Not Found> error. I tried the solution to update < Permalink Settings> to Plain. Unfortunately it didn’t work and i saw the new error below upon Even Manager Setting saving:

    Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /wp/wp-admin/edit.php on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Please help!!!
