    My site was working fine until yesterday, when all of a sudden it became completely unreachable. I cannot access ANY of the pages never mind the login page – all it gives me is “Problem loading page: The connection was reset” message.

    Tried FireFox, Chrome, IE and iOS but all failed.
    Tried Pingdom and it’s giving me 25sec for 19kb.
    Probably not my provider(?)’s fault as I can freely surf the net and look at other blogs.
    Nothing wrong with my server either, according to the support staff.

    This is very worrying as it coincided with my receiving of 5 lockouts e-mail notification. I’ve had lockout notifications before but only 1 very 2months or so on average. Now, this time, the 5 e-mails came in a bulk – like someone is really trying.

    Could that be the cause?
    Or am I missing something?
    What possibly could be happening?

    I am a novice blogger and am feeling pretty desperate… please advise. Any help will be appreciated.

    It’s a server issue. Contact your hosts.

    Hi, esmi. Thank you for your response.

    I already have reported the issue to my host but the support said they couldn’t find anything wrong with the server and my site should be working fine.

    So do you think I should keep going back to them till they find something?
    What more info can I possibly give them to further my case?

    Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    I just tried my site for one last time before following your instructions – and got through to it!
    Something must’ve happened during the last 5min…no idea what.
