sudden REST API error : http_request_failed

  • Hello, Site health status tool shows me this error today:

    The REST API request failed due to an error.
    Error: cURL error 35: OpenSSL SSL_connect: Connection reset by peer in connection to example.com:443 (http_request_failed)

    I don’t remember making any change to the site in the last two days aside from uploading a small-sized HTML file to site root for the google search console verification process, I don’t think that may have any impact on the site, or not?

    I will appreciate if anyone could help with this problem.

    The site ownership verification file would not be the cause. See if your SSL certificate had expired. It could be the cause of a failed SSL connection.
