• Having difficulty posting because the WYSSIWYG (Visual) menu in Post Editor is not showing. The Text edit screen displays as normal.

I have been using Firefox browser and have already cleared all cache and recent history, (noted in Help forums) but the problem persists.

Do not have this problem in any other browser such as IE and that suggests that its localized to Firefox. But here is the strange part. I also maintain a separate WordPress blog and both edit menus show-up just fine and normal.

Could the problem be a setting on my existing WordPress blog?

    Thanks for any assistance

    Bob

I viewed the Users- Your Profile settings and the “Disable the visual editor when writing” is unchecked, which is I believe, the normal setting.

Just to make sure, I checked the box and the Visual editor screen indeed does not appear. Went back, unchecked the box, and while the Visual tab shows, there is no menu or post text appearing.

An error like that is usually caused by a javascript conflict.

    Please try
    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
