Sudden PayPal error at checkout when more than 1 item is in the cart

Just doing some further research, it appears PayPal streamlined their checkout page March 29, 2017. As far as I’m aware, the cart has been working fine since then, but I’m not 100% sure.

Is there a chance the updated PayPal checkout page could have some issues with the older version of the plugin I’m using?

FYI, updating to the latest version of the plugin and using the newer shortcode seems to have resolved this issue.

Hi, I am happy to know that you have resolved your issue. Just out of curiosity what version did you have running before updating to the latest version?

It was previously using version 3.7 – so pretty old!

I am now getting the same issue. The plugin works perfectly (this is the first time I have installed/used it) right up until I check out. When I click the check out button, it goes to the Paypal site and gives me the following error:
Things don’t appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later.

I am using version 4.3.6 of the plugin.
