    Hi Danny,

    Our website uses your plugin for mailchimp. It has been working fine until we had sudden influx of subscribers. Some were managing to subscribe and others were getting the error message. The error message is only ip address and browser detail – nothing else. We cannot replicate this error unfortunately. We contacted mailchimp and we were told this might be plugin issue. They suggested us to use their plugin instead. Your thoughts?

    Hi Mel,

    That is really strange. How many subscription requests are we talking about here? 10 / 100 / 1000+ a day?

    The plugin doesn’t throw an error containing the user IP and browser so I am not sure what this could be. What does your MailChimp API log state, do you see (failed) API calls?

    Also, do you have a link to your website so I can run some tests myself?

    Hi Danny,

    No, I do not see failed calls on Mailchimp API log state. There were quite a lot of calls per minute (up to 6) that day. Does it mean that it did not reach mailchimp? Can it be bandwidth hosting issue? We use bluehost if it helps.

    The website is wellnourished.com.au, plugin is used on sidebar. Thank you muchly for looking into this.

    Hi Mel,

    What was the exact error that your visitors were getting, just their IP address and browser details?

    It should not be due to a bandwidth issue as that would have given other problems before even showing an error message. ??

    I took a look at your form on your website but couldn’t find anything that could be the issue.

    Hi Danny,

    I did not actually see the error myself. It was reported to me by users.
    Anyway, thank you very much for helping. I will watch out if there’s error again in the next subscribers influx. I will just close this topic for time being. Thanks again, Mel.
