Sudden 403 error on subscription form

    I have been using Mailpoet successfully for many months on this site;

    However out of the blue, when someone fills in the form, they are getting a 403 Forbidden notice when clicking the subscribe button, using the form on the home as well as on the sidebar on inner pages.
    Please note: the 403 notice appears WITHIN the form, the rest of the webpage remains intact.
    I have tried disabling all plugins except mailpoet, same issue. Am running latest WP and Mailpoet versions. I have not made any changes to the site or permalinks.
    Any ideas why would this be happening?
