Successfull migration but front page shows ‘welcome to wordpress’

  • The migration seems to have been successful, but going to the home URL gives me the “new blog” page, while directly accessing any of the pages of the migrated site shows up as expected. It seems that the homepage is disconnected with the rest of the site. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I have pointed the DNS back to the old server to keep the page online so following the ‘link to the page you need help with’ will not provide any valuable info.

    Thanks for reaching out to us.

    According to our logs, the migration went fine and we do not see any issues.

    Since the issue was present only on the homepage, it seems that the cache was responsible for this.

    Could it possible to see the migrated site so that we can inspect this issue in detail?

    If you can try the migration again to a dummy domain like test.gatewaysigns.com on the same destination server, we would be able to inspect further on this without affecting the main site https://gatewaysigns.com
