    Hi,

Just did a test with a credit card and it worked nicely but on the “PayPal & Stripe Payments” page the transaction is marked as failed and the “View Order Details” page is empty except for the transaction ID. Fixes and/or workarounds would be appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Brian

A number of issues can cause this, please check our documentation:

    Hello Collin,

Your quick response has earned you a “pro version” sale. Your software is, and has been in the past, so steady I’m going to improve the usability of the form by adding the pro features.

I am concerned about how I should install it: should wordfence be set to learning mode make it compatible or should I deactivate it? I’m pretty sure that’s what’s causing payment display problems noted above, I’ve had trouble in the past with some quirky issues. Do you have a suggestion for a substitute protection plugin that is easily compatible with your plugin?

Off to pay for the pro version!

On my personal website, I set WordFence to learning mode again when I launched the plugin. That being said, if your website cannot go into learning mode for security reasons, Stripe has published a list of IPs that you can whitelist in WordFence instead: https://stripe.com/docs/ips

I believe WordFence has a filter that allows you to see recent blocks. Might be worth checking that log to see if our plugin or PayPal/Stripe IPs are in the list.

I’m having the same problem, PayPal status shows failed however order details show a transaction ID. We are not getting email notification with the content from the form fields. I followed instructions and the IPN seems to be set properly. It used to work well but since April, seeing lots of inconsistencies, both Stripe and PayPal show “Abandoned” or “failed”. thanks.

Nancy – if it randomly stops working, or you are seeing inconsistencies, it is almost always caused by a cache or CDN plugin. Please see https://wpplugin.org/documentation/payment-status-is-showing-as-failed/ for details.
