Successful Backup with ERROR: Too many attempts

    Hi,

    My site has been using BackWpUp for a while and recently it shows error during backup, but the backup was successful.

    I wonder if there is anything to fix the issue? Thank you very much.

    Hi @kaxe,
    Backup transferred to /xxx_2018-07-29_15-52-26.zip could you please download the file and extract it?
    I can see from the log that the file has been transferred to the destination.

    Yes. I can find it from my Dropbox account. The Zip file was a successful archive that can be opened. the SQL is there.

    So the problem is: it is a successful backup task for BackWpUp but there are ERROR in logs..

    Hi @kaxe
    Please go to BackWPUp -> Settings -> Jobs -> Maximum number of retries for job steps -> set to 5, after that, try run the job again.
    Is that helps?

    I have just set it to 5 (it was 3) and manually run the job. The error now occurs at the 5th attempt, and the file is transferred to Dropbox successfully. The zip file is normal too.

    Oh, while the LOG says 18MB (7 files), the actual file is just 3.6MB (3 files, readme.txt/manifest.json/the Gzipped sql)

    while the LOG says 18MB (7 files), the actual file is just 3.6MB Because that was an actual size, the backup file you see is the compressed one.

    maybe worth a try, go to BackWPup > Settings > Jobs, try to set Maximum Script Execution Time setting to about 20 secs then try again

    If it still have error, I think it was stuck on database compression step, try select Backup file compression to none then try again.

    @duongcuong96 Both 20seconds execution time (was 30 secs) & No backup file compression do not help.

    Same error still exist but the backup file is successfully created and sent to dropbox
    ??

    Actually, I have no idea about this issue :/
    Maybe it’s just a glitch and I think you can ignore it.

    I’m really not sure with just the log but I can make sure this issue didn’t affect backup file.
    So it’s safe to ignore this ??
