Subsite disappearing

  • I’ve got a very odd problem and I am new to multisite.

    We’ve setup a site with multisite, with one sub-site. For some reason every 1-2 days in the early hours of the morning (GMT), the sub-site will disappear from the front end.

    All that’s left is the tree directory (parent directory page) in its place.
    The admin for the missing site is still available via multisite so it just seems that the front end of the new site disappears and I have to do a recovery to get it back.

    After that it works again for a day or two and then dissappears.

    Any ideas?

  • You deleted the subsite folder and you still have problems? Did the subsite folder re-appear or do you still have problems even though the subsite folder is gone?

    Hello JK, The folder does not re-appear after being deleted so I can say that the problem seems to persist whether the folder is there or not.

    Surprisingly it has been a few days since the problem last occurred. Fingers crossed!

    I think your problem was fixed as soon as you deleted the folder. Your browser probably cached the previous response. The best way to check is from another browser or delete all cached content from the browser you use.

    Unfortunately the problem happened again today. it seems to be happening when I access the site from two different browsers at the same time.

    I have the same issue and when I removed the empty directory I get an internal 500 error.

    Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks
