Subscriptions extension-Can it do this?

  • We publish a monthly magazine that we want to sell both print and digital versions of. For the digital downloads of the magazine I would like to offer a subscription option that will start in the current month and be valid for a year (12 issues). For example, if the user/subscriber purchases the subscription in November, all the issues before that are not accessible, but anything from the starting time of the subscription onward will be accessible.

  • I don’t think this is part of the built-in functionality of the extension. The extension just sets up the subscription payment. You’d need to set up some membership functionality (i think woo has an extension for that too) but even then you’ll need to custom roll a little to keep members from seeing content from prior to their registration.

    Thanks for the reply. I thought that was the case but just wanted to make sure before digging in and developing something specific to our needs. Appreciate the help.
