I’ve installed the plugin, added the API key and configured the Subscription Widget. I add the widget to a sidebar and insert it into a page. When I submit the form, it appears to work. The message appears on my screen telling me to check my email for the confirmation email, but the email never comes. I contacted Sendgrid support and they said “You would need to contact WordPress support in order to check on their end why the confirmation email was not sent as they are managing this information, not Sendgrid.” which makes no sense to me. Shouldn’t the confirm subscription email be sent from Sendgrid?

    Hi @yogabasics,

If you send a test mail from the subscription widget’s tab, does it work?
If test mail works, you should check your activity tab from your SendGrid account and see what happens with those mails that are not delivered.

Please let us know how can we help further,

When I try to test I get “API Key is invalid or without permissions.” I created a new API key and get the same results. Keys have settings to allow full access to marketing campaigns with everything else off.

Never mind, your plugin was preventing my contact form from sending messages so I disabled your plugin. It was also constantly reloading on the settings pages.

Why don’t you guys have a simple easy peasy html form for people to signup to a newsletter list??

    Hi @yogabasics,

Marketing Campaigns permission is needed in order to add in MC lists.
But in order to send a mail you need to have Mail Send permissions.

Double opt-in is a security standard (SendGrid security policy) in order to prevent abuses.
    – Someone can sign-up fake email addresses and charge you for no reason
    – Someone can sign-up real email addresses but marked as spam and ruining your reputation.

I hope our answer helps you,
