    Dear “Add-on Contact Form 7 – MailPoet 3” Team,

Thanks for your Plugin! It provides great features!

We report a problem with your last update v.1.3.12.
On our website, it no longer records emails of subscribers into the email list of Mailpoet, and it no longer sends the confirmation email to the subscribers. The link with Mailpoet v.3.32.2 seems to be broken.

We just went back to v.1.3.10 of your plugin and it works again.

(We use Contact Form 7 v.5.1.3)

Could you help us with this issue ?
Thanks again for your great plugin

  • Hello,

Thanks for reporting. We will look into the issue and let you know the update.

Hello, the plugin works perfectly in version 1.3.12. However in the footer, you can use mailpoet form instead of contact form 7 as you are only using email field. Mailpoet form is suitable in that case. You don’t actually need contact form there.

Anyway, please try with another contact form and let us know whether it is working or not.

    Thank you

Thanks for your answer. We have multiple mailpoet lists with different mandatory fields in our subscription forms. We need to go throught Contact Form 7 since the mailpoet mandatory fields in their subscription forms are shared with all mailpoet forms (and we don’t want that).

Do you have any clue why our “Add-on Contact Form 7 – MailPoet 3” plugin doesn’t work on v.1.3.12, but works well with v.1.3.10? What could it be related to?

    Thanks again for your help.

From version v.1.3.12, we used MailPoet’s API to add subscriber to the lists. In previous versions, we coded our own method to add the subscribers. MailPoet discourages to use own method rather than using API.

In our side, the API is working great as expected. There might be plugin confliction issue in your side. Please turn off all the plugin & create a new contact form for testing purpose with first name, last name, email & desired list field. Let us know whether the testing form is working or not.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I am getting this very same error: Mailpoet version3.38.0, Contact form version 5.1.4 and Addon version 1.3.12. Susbscribers are not added to the list, and they don’t receive any message either.

How did you get to solve the problem?

    Thanks!

Hello, in our end, the plugin just working fine. We are using the same version as yours. Do you have any other mailpoet version installed? If possible, could you please disable other plugins except those three and try again?

    Thanks

Hi, I already tried deactivating other plugins, and nothing happens. I checked that I only have one Mailpoet version installed. Could the problem be due to the PHP version? I am currently running version 7.0.

    Thanks,

Your PHP version is fine. Do you see any error message in log? If you don’t know how to setup error log, please follow this guide https://bit.ly/wperrorlog and try again to subscribe the user. Then check the log file for any error or provide us the log file (debug.log) so that we can analysis the error.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Wandering though the plugin’s code, I finally solved the problem. I had a custom required field on my Mailpoet that was not appearing on my contact form, so the mailpoet subscription failed (due to the missing required field).

I added to my contact form a new field matching the id of the custom field in Mailpoet and voilà, everything works perfectly.

I noticed the problem by doing a little debug on the plugin’s code. The error was triggered near the 238 line on “class-mailpoet-cf7-submit-form.php” (on an empty else block inside an exception catch). Maybe you could add some sort of alert when on this situation? (the lack of a required custom field of Mailpoet). If it helps, this is a piece of information of the exception I was getting:

[message:protected] => Missing value for custom field "Privacy Policy"
        [string:Exception:private] =>
        [code:protected] => 0
    ...

Anyway, thank you very much for your fast attention!!

Hello, glad that you sorted out the issue! Thank you very much for your details information and the exception error. This will help us to resolve the issue in our future update.

    Thank you

    I have the same problem.
Since the last update it is not working anymore.
I used the required your-email and your-name labels.
    What can I do?

    Before it was working fine.

    Hello,

Please update the plugin to the latest version (1.3.13) and try again. This topic is about version 1.3.12. If you are still facing the problem, please create new topic

    Thanks
