Subscription not working correctly…

For starters, after signing up, the email arrives after to 10-20 minutes, which is INCREDIBLY slow. At first I was worried that no emails were sending at all.
Then, assuming the user has long since forgotten they even signed up for my email list, I decided to just turn off double opt in all together to make things easier. Well, It didn’t work at all. Even with Double Opt In set to “no” on the plugin, 20 minutes later I’m still getting a “Please Confirm email address” email…
Before giving this plugin a bad review, I figured I’d come here. It doesn’t seem to be working at all really.
