    Hi there,

I have an issue when trying to get new users to subscribe through the plug-in. I have tested using another plug in and it works just fine. No matter how I change the settings, deactivate/reactivate the plug-in, create new forms, new API key nothing seems to work with this plug in. In addition even with AJAX on, the entire webpage refreshes and places the webpage back to the top of the page. The website is uasys.io if you wanted to test.

I get the following message from Mailchimp:
    2016-01-29 21:49:22 GMT nope 119.81.15.199 lists/list json 0.052s MailChimp-PHP/2.0.6 2.0 n/a

    But that is all.

This is in contrast to another plugin I use which also has an additional line:
    2016-01-29 21:33:20 GMT nope 119.81.15.199 lists/subscribe json 7.214s WordPress/4.4.1; https://uasys. 2.0 n/a
    2016-01-29 21:33:03 GMT nope 119.81.15.199 lists/list json 0.048s MailChimp-PHP/2.0.6 2.0 n/a

Would you be able to help at all?

    Thanks,
    Jono

    Hi Jono,

It looks like you have a few JavaScript errors on the page. When that happens, the AJAX forms aren’t going to work properly. You’ll run into the issue that you’re seeing, where the page just refreshes.

If you set the form to non-ajax, are you still getting that issue where the page jumps back to the top? With things set to non-ajax, the forms should be submitting properly.

If you need the AJAX forms to work, you’re going to need to resolve the issue with the zerif.js file. I’m not sure what it’s actually doing, but it’s included with your theme.

    The error is as follows:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'id' of undefined

When that gets resolved, you should be able to run the AJAX forms without any issues.

The following WordPress codex article should help you view the problem:

    Thanks,

    Hi there Tracy,

Thanks for your help in diagnosing the problem Evan it really goes a long way. I wanted to get technical support from the theme designers and let you know the outcome but I’m still working with them to resolve the issue.

So please keep this open for the time being until I can get confirmation from the theme designers whether or not they are able to fix it. After that I will update everyone on the situation ??

    Cheers,
    Jono
