    Hi,

I’ve read the other recent support requests for this issue and also been through the “solving the oops error” document. Only the email address is required in my MailChimp set-up. The API status is green. There are no log errors of any kind. Throughout my site – and also on https://cakes.trulys.com/, users are unable to signup for my mailing list. Please help!

    Hey @rory16,

I tested the form and got the same error. When you go to the “MC4WP > Others” menu, are you sure there are no errors listed? Can you please share a screenshot of that page?

Thanks for checking this out, Harish!

Notice the last error was on June 11 relating to Woocommerce checkout. Since then we have switched to a different checkout system. We are no longer using Woocommerce.

It seems like the Mailchimp API key you’re using is setup by a Mailchimp user with “author” rights. I believe that user role is not allowed to do anything with subscribers. Please use a Mailchimp API key with the appropriate access.

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, please let me know!

    Thanks very much!

I didn’t realize you could create API keys in MailChimp with anything but the account holder’s email address (the account holder has Administrator rights in WP). Now I know!
