• We recently connected the official Subscriptions plugin from WooCommerce and set up a link to the gateway using XL NMI Gateway for WooCommerce. Regular transactions selling products are placed with no errors, however, when we try to sell a subscription, the customer receives an “ERROR PROCESSING CHECKOUT. PLEASE TRY AGAIN” error.

    The logs from the plugin have the following information:
    2020-11-11T17:38:35+00:00 INFO 69.196.89.210 Exception in function: process_payment at Line: 413 For order: 2667 as: Payment Token does not exist REFID:2461320011
    2020-11-11T17:38:40+00:00 ERROR 69.196.89.210 Payment Token does not exist REFID:2461320011

    There is a full log I could provide if needed too.

    Please let me know if how I could fix it.

    I have looked into this issue deeper and it turns out when Tokenization is enabled and ‘Save to account’ checkmark is set during payment, the transaction fails on all products, not just the subscription.
    I have also reached out to NMI support and they said that it appears that the plugin is trying to run a second transaction with the same payment token for some reason and that is why I was getting the error. But the payment token can only be used once.

    The issue persists no matter if I use Direct Post API or Collect.js to make payments. Let me know what else I could try. Thank you in advance.
