• Hello,

The subscription option is not working for me using the [mailpoetsignup mailpoetsignup-XXX list:YY] tag on contact form.

I found another topic reporting the same issue with the following questions:

    1. Are you using any custom field of mailpoet? NO

    2. Do you know how to read php error? If yes, do you see any error in the log file?
No error. Debug mode also shows no error.

    3. Are you using any other MailPoet plugin other than MailPoet 3 free version (for example MailPoet premium or MailPoet 2)?
    Yes, using Mailpoet 3 – V.3.48.1 and MailPoet 3 Premium (New) – V.3.0.89

    Regards,
    Márcio

  • Hello,

Thanks for reporting. We will look into the issue and let you know the update.

    Hello @mlvitor ,

You will be happy to know that we just release an updated version of “Add-on Contact Form 7 – MailPoet 3”. You can check it now. We are waiting for your valuable feedback.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

i also have the problem that the subscription checkbox does not work. The person will receive a confirmation mail from MailPoet both when the checkbox is empty and when the checkbox is selected.

    <label> E-Mail-Adresse*
        [email* email] </label>

    [mailpoetsignup mailpoetsignup-113 list:3 "Newsletter abonnieren"]

    Wordpress-version: 5.5.1
    MailPoet 3-version: 3.51.2
    MailPoet Premium-version: 3.0.94
    Add-on-version: 1.2.14

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello @micson,
Are you getting mail, while the checkbox is not selected?
And your add-on version is very old. Can you please update it?

    Hello,

Sorry, I made a typing error:
    Add-on-version: 1.3.14
Yes, I got a confirmation mail for the newsletter, although the checkbox is not selected.

    @micson
In your case you are forcing users to subscribe. You need to add ” subscriber-choice “. So it will be:

    [mailpoetsignup mailpoetsignup-113 list:3 subscriber-choice “Newsletter abonnieren”]

Unfortunately this code does not solve my problem.

If I add “subscriber choice” to the code, the person will also receive a confirmation mail for the newsletter if the checkbox is not checked. And in MailPoet a new unconfirmed subscriber is still displayed.
“In your case you are forcing users to subscribe” would mean that CF7’s form tag generator is checked by default, wouldn’t it? But this checkbox is not set.

The problem must be somewhere else.

I think Mail(2) option from mail should be checked.
