Hi, I’m new to Membership 2 (started using it in April) but I’ve noticed in the last 2 months that changes to membership details such as pricing, order, type, and other features don’t always save correctly. Particularly frustrating since there doesn’t seem to be a “save changes” button anywhere except under the “Membership Type” tab.

Sometimes the changes don’t save at all, sometimes one of several changes will take effect but the others won’t.

Sometimes the very first change I make in a day takes effect and no subsequent changes do, sometimes I’m not even that lucky.

Currently I’m stuck with a subscription set to “free” because I can’t change the price.

I’ve tried clearing cache, I’ve tried deactivating all other plugins to see if there is some conflict. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the Membership 2 plugin. Nothing seems to help.

I’ve even tried creating completely new subscriptions with the settings I need, but this happens even with brand new subscriptions.

    Hi @pemitchell,

Sorry to hear you’re having issues with saving changes.

Can you tell me if you see any errors in console when you toggle the buttons?
You can bring up console in Chrome by pressing Ctrl + Shift + J (Windows / Linux) or Cmd + Opt + J (Mac).
After that toggle the buttons and see if any errors popup up and if they do please let us know which ones.

    Cheers,
    Predrag

I haven’t had a chance to check the console just yet, but I did want to follow up with you in the meantime.

Between when I first posted this support issue and when I received your reply, I *was* able to get my changes saved by using both Firefox (which I normally use) and Chrome browsers. Basically, I was able to save the changes by switching between both browsers, though it wasn’t foolproof and did take several attempts to get the changes to take.

Of course, that has relieved some of the urgency. I will follow up and let you know whether I encounter console errors once I have the opportunity to check (though I will create a test membership to this with so that I don’t mess anything up).

    Hi @pemitchell,

Checking console will not mess up anything on your site, it will just show if there are any errors while saving the changes.

So, before saving any change simply open the console and perform the save, if it fails it should show some errors in console that could tell us what’s going on.

    Cheers,
    Predrag

Thank you for using Membership 2. I am going to close this ticket for now. If you find any errors we will reopen the thread. Enjoy!
