Subscribers / followers

I recently converted my AthleticMedicine.Wordpress.com to .org (StoneAthleticMedicine.com).
On my .com I had 610 email subscribers and 210 blog subscribers. Now that I converted to .org I noticed I now have zero followers. When converting, did I lose my followers? Di I have to rebuild my audience? Do I need to notify all of my .com followers to follow the new blog?
