• A subscriber on my site couldn’t login after migrating his data to a new computer. I discovered that his username and email address had been changed to [Moderated: Info redacted – please do not post server sensitive information (username, email, etc)]. I’ve since changed these back in the database. I’ve ran scans to detect if the site has been hacked but everything comes up ok. How could this suddenly happen? The subscriber is the first name in my user list.

Potentially, something went wrong when you migrated stuff, though it is possible you’ve been hacked. Keep a close eye on your site, especially the users, from day to day.

Thanks for your reply. I cant see where the site has been hacked. Everything appears fine and scans all come up ok. The username that was changed is a subscriber and has no permissions to modify anything. Is it possible that his computer is infected that somehow changed his username and email, even though wordpress doesn’t allow the username to be changed.
