    Hi Brian,
in my test system I found a strange behavior:
If a registered subscriber subscribes again, his status is changed from active to “inactive”. It is the same result if a subscriber unsubscribes in the link at the end of a mail – but the subscriber doesn’t receive any information about.
This means that the button in a form has a double function (subscribe or unsubscribe) depending on the status of the subscriber. This is confusing as the actual function is not clear. As there are some users, who don’t remember if they subscribed already, it would be reasonable to divide the double function into two separate buttons: SUBSCRIBE and UNSUBSCRIBE.

GDPR already discussed particularly with reference to double opt-in, but there is another issue: We have to inform subscribers about the time, their data (mail address) is stored after the unsubscribe. The mail address remains in the subscriber list marked inactive, but I cannot see, when the status changed. Finally after a certain time it must be deleted. Unfortunately I couldn’t find a information about this.
    So I’ve these questions:
Would the inactive subscribers be deleted automatically?
If yes – can the time be set or be seen?

    Thank You in advance

The first issue will be fixed in today’s update. For the second one, I’ve added an option to delete subscribers after they unsubscribe.

If you do not enable this option, you will also be able to see the exact moment they confirmed their emails or unsubscribed.
