Subscriber list not assigned to Subscriber Role

    Hi there, I have created a newsletter subscription by using the mailpoet form. The registered subscribers were shown in the subscriber list, however it is not given a role as “subscriber” under plug-in member.

    I’m creating a coupon code that only valid for subscriber role. Without role, I’m unable to create a coupon code specifically for the newly subscribed members.

    Thanks for reaching out!

    By default, subscribers who sign up via a subscription form are not added as WordPress users.

    If they register on your site and opt-in during checkout, then they are added with the Subscriber role.

    As a workaround, I’d recommend creating a Welcome email with a coupon code that is sent when a user is subscribed to a certain list and restrict a coupon to be used only once per user.
