• The front page says I have a certain number of subscribers, yet I have this crazy amount of subscribers listed under Users. When I search the Users, I don’t see the subscribers. How do I make the numbers sync?
How do I find all the people I know that are subscribers?

    Those are entirely different.

The subscribers mentioned in the Jetpack subscriber widget are subscribed via Jetpack, and Jetpack has its own subscriber management system.

The subscribers in the Users section are people who registered to be a user on your blog and were then assigned the default user level of Subscriber.

The Subscriber user role doesn’t do anything, except have a profile to edit, unless you utilize a plugin which makes use of this role, and Jetpack does not.

If you have no plugin which makes use of the Subscriber role (or requires logging in to comment or visit parts of the site), you can safely uncheck “Anyone can register” at Settings -> General in your blog’s Dashboard and delete all of the users with the role Subscriber, as they’re simply taking up space in your database and nothing more.
