Jetpack subscriptions tells me I have 58 subscribers. This is far too low. When I click on “site stats” in my dashboard I can see that I have 644 blog followers. This should be as low as the number should get, but supposedly it should be including my Twitter followers as well. I have over 3,000 Twitter followers (and am connected via Publicize) but yet my site is saying “Join 58 other subscribers.”

I have looked through the forum and I can see that the subscriber counts are often “too high” because people don’t realize that Jetpack is counting Twitter / FB followers as well. However, my subscriber counts are too low.

    Any ideas?

Where do you see 58 subscribers?
In our system, it’s showing 645 subscribers.

It looks like there is a Jetpack connection issue between your site and WordPress.com. Therefore, we have not updated your subscriber number correctly.

Please disconnect and connect Jetpack again on your site.

To disconnect Jetpack, please go to WP Admin -> Jetpack -> Dashboard -> The “Connections” section -> Link “Manage site connection”.?

Hi there. Thank you for your response. I will do as you say.

I have disconnected and reconnected Jetpack. When I click “Show total number of subscribers? (58 subscribers)” as I’m setting up the subscription widget, I see 58 subscribers.

It shows as 58 in the widget (as I’m setting it up), and it shows as 58 on the website once I set up the widget.

But when I click “site stats” in the dashboard, it shows 645. But if you add in my Twitter followers, it should be well over 3,000 because I have around 3,000 Twitter followers as well.

    Thank you for any suggestions.

    Hi,

    > But when I click “site stats” in the dashboard, it shows 645. But if you add in my Twitter followers, it should be well over 3,000 because I have around 3,000 Twitter followers as well.

In the dashboard, showing 645 is correct since we have not merged the social network followers in “Site Stats” in WP Admin -> Jetpack.

    > It shows as 58 in the widget (as I’m setting it up), and it shows as 58 on the website once I set up the widget.

It looks like there is a cache here.
I suggest deleting and re-installing Jetpack one more time.

I have deleted and re-installed Jetpack as you have suggested. I still show 58 subscribers when I activate the “show subscriber count” feature. I am happy to use the email you suggested for additional support. Thank you.
