I use subscribe2 plugin to manage my email subscription and to send notification when I publish a new post. I haven’t been writing for quite some time now, so currently all emails sent out are those sent to people when they try to subscribe.

Lately I found that those emails were rejected by gmail, and I got the rejection emails from MAILER-DAEMON. The reason they say is “Our system has detected that this message is likely suspicious due to the very low reputation of the sending.”

Does anyone know what caused that, and what can I do about it? I can post the rejection email here if it helps to diagnose the problem.

Many thanks in advance for any suggestion!

Is your site newly created? your site needs to be IP warmup. Warming IP helps domain to reach inbox and Domain warmup is the easiest way to properly perform a warmup and establish the highest delivery rates.

hmm… my site is not completely new, but it has been inactive for 3-4 years. Maybe that is the reason. I will look into domain warmup. Thank you for your reply, Ashiquzzaman!

hmm… I have checked the domain warmup blog, but that doesn’t seem to be my problem. I am not sending bulk emails.

What is happening is when a reader send me a subscription request, Subscribe2 sends a email to the reader to ask for confirmation, but even that message gets rejected.

If from the header it doesn’t look like a problem of Subscribe2, I will probably have to find a different forum to ask this question. ??

But if you see something else, please let me know. Thanks!
