• My post notification e-mails were working as expected, with the generic site e-mail address shown as the sender’s address.

Then all of a sudden, three of my notification e-mails are sent out showing my private (master) e-mail address (containing my name no less) which is never used anywhere in my blog, only by my hosting provider (or at least I can’t remember/find the field in WP where I would have entered that private address).

What happened, and how do I fix it?

I might try the suggested method but as the problem only appears with actual per-post notifications (and not test mails sent to myself) it would take many posts to identify the specific combination of active/inactive plugins possibly causing the problem.

(Now that I think of it, I don’t know how confirmation emails appear.(

    Hello again,

    an update.

When I published a couple of new posts on my blog recently, I did not get any notification from S2.

I think there was an update of S2 afterwards (or possibly before that) which I installed.

Today I posted some new material , and received not one but two notifications at once, one coming from the admin e-mail (undesirably) and the other – from the blog e-mail (as it should be). Moreover, the correct one came as an HTML excerpt and the admin one came as a plain text excerpt (I had originally set them to come as plain text excerpts, and did not mess with the setting afterwards).

So, more surprises but at least my subscribers are getting also the proper sender in their notifications. Maybe somehow the admin e-mail will disappear again:)
