subscribe2 a category with automatically new cat’s being excluded!

    I have been looking for a plugin that did something like Subscribe2 from Skippy (skippy.net) but with this difference: it automatically excludes a new category unless I change it in the admin area of Subscribe2.

    I am using this for a newsletter (which is a category) but I also use tags so I generate a lot of categories…

    I modified the subscribe2.php file till it did what I want it to do:
    – every added category / tag is automatically excluded

    Sounds like you might be able to help with the problem I am having.
    I have a website (www.columbuscavs.com) that is using the Subscribe2 Plugin. I wanted to use this plugin to gather email addresses, but I am not a fan of the feature that emails everybody whenever a new post is added to the site. I don’t want too many emails making people want to unsubscribe.

    Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated.
