Upload the *.mo translation file into the same folder as the plugin (usually wp-content/plugins/subscribe2/)

I wish this translation working for version 5.6

I’m using
Wordpress 2.9
theme created with Artisteer
Subscribe2 5.6
put the MO file in plugins/subscribe2

Still it’s not working

Do I have to put the PO-file somewere?
