Subscribe widget without option in comment form

    Hello,

    I would like to include the “Subscription Widget” on my site.
    It seems the widget is not available unless I go to Settings->Subscriptions and switch “Allow users to subscribe to your posts and comments and receive notifications via email” to ON.
    When I do this, I cannot disable both suboptions:
    -Show a “follow blog” option in the comment form
    -Show a “follow comments” option in the comment form

    At least one must be on. But I don’t want either of them on, I just want the widget.

    How can I do this?

    Could you go to Settings > Discussion in your dashboard, and try to deactivate the 2 options at the bottom of the page?

    Let me know if it works there.

    Thanks.
    I actually mis-wrote in my original question.
    What you suggested is what I in fact did, but Jetpack automatically switches one of the options to “on” when I do this (the “follow comments” option).

    Is this something that is unique to my setup? Or can you reproduce it?

    That’s odd. I can’t seem to be able to reproduce the issue on my end.

    Do you experience the same issue when you try to change the options under Jetpack > Settings?
