subscribe to multiple authors

    can it have content multiple authors?
    the website will have multiple author accounts, showing their content, and users should be able to subscribe to one or all of these authors, paying their custom membership fee?
    (like Patreon has)

    To confirm if I understand you correctly, you would like to have a site where certain members are allowed to post and charge user’s for their content? These authors would receive the funds directly?

    There may be a couple of ways to achieve this, I need more information to help point you in the right direction.

    yes, indeed, you understood it correctly.

    but also, maybe to be able to keep a fee

    This would require a bit of custom code to achieve the split fees/merchant fees.

    You are able to sell subsites to members by using the Member Network Sites, this will allow authors – https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/add-ons/pmpro-network-multisite-membership/

    I suggest reaching out to a local WordPress developer or posting on jobs.wordpress.net for assistance in customizing Paid Memberships Pro to fit your needs as some features are not available at all.
