    I recently started using MailPoet’s automatic newslsetter for an autoresponder series. I subscribed successfully and have gotten the first 2 emails of the series. I was told there was an error when subscribing and so I subscribed using a different email, and this time I got the following error:

    Oops! There is a problem with this form:
    textStatus:parsererror
    errorThrown:SyntaxError: Unexpected token <
    responseText: jQuery1124006643309332264824_1498249751470({“result”:true,”msgs”:{“updated”:[“Check your inbox or spam folder now to confirm your subscription.”]}});

    Incidentally, the confirmation email was sent to the email address I subscribed with, so that part is working. Why the error on the homepage? And how do I fix it?

    Thanks!

    One more note. It’s now been an hour and the “immediate” delivery of the first email has not yet arrived. Is it getting stuck somewhere?

    It looks like a javascript conflict with your theme. Try temporarily switching to a default WordPress theme (Twenty Seventeen for example) and then try to subscribe again.

    You’re right, my theme had a buggy update. All is fixed and working properly now. Thanks!

    Glad to know that!
