    Hi, I would like to have the subscribe form on one line and the field with a white background/ black placeholder text.
    Any idea how to do this with custom CSS?

    Hello,

    To get a single line form, it’s a bit easy using our premium version. You can check it at https://kb.mc4wp.com/single-line-forms/.

    To do so in the free version you will need lot more custom CSS and please note any custom work is beyond the scope of our support and you will need to hire a 3rd party designer/developer.
