Hi all, I had a bit of an issue with my visitor stats falling a few weeks ago. I wasn’t quite sure why they had fallen away, so I got hold of my sitemaps via Yoast and resubmitted them to Google.

And it’s not worked! My stats continue to tumble. It’s not a big issue now as it’s only a personal blog, but I will want to add a shop and sell books one day, so I need it sorting.

Until a few days ago, I had no issues in the Google Search Console coverage section. Now it states that I have 397 “Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’” errors (marked not started) and 130 “Submitted URL has crawl issue” errors (also marked not started).

Is there any way to “bulk” fix these issues without going into each post, tag or whatever to fix them individually?

    Hope someone can help!

    Andie x

PS The “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” box under Settings > Reading is not ticked.

PPS Just looked at the list of no-indexed entries in Google Search Console and they’re all tags, eg: https://andiepasdedeux.com/tag/coppelia

Also, in the crawl errors list, everything appears to be images, eg: https://andiepasdedeux.com/time-for-new-beginnings/dhncdilxoaa3yv4

OK, learning as I go here. I have five sitemaps. They are:

    /post_tag-sitemap.xml Sitemap Apr 6, 2019 Apr 30, 2019 Success 495
    /category-sitemap.xml Sitemap Apr 6, 2019 May 1, 2019 Success 13
    /attachment-sitemap.xml Sitemap Apr 6, 2019 Apr 19, 2019 1 error 392
    /page-sitemap.xml Sitemap Apr 6, 2019 Apr 25, 2019 Success 5
    /post-sitemap.xml Sitemap Apr 6, 2019 Apr 26, 2019 Success 143

As you can see, the attachment one has an error.

Really? So can you recommend anything I can do – or is there a better alternative to Yoast?

Thanks anyway! ?? FYI, I got rid of Yoast and swapped it for All In One SEO Pack. Took a few days but my stats are soaring again. V happy!
