Submitted email reappears upon page refresh

    Currently when an email address is submitted via the form, everything works fine and the “success” message appears. But if the page is refreshed, the email address that was submitted reappears in the form field & a new alert message displays saying “email has already been submitted”.

    Is there a way to ensure that once an email address is submitted, the form won’t re-populate with it if the page is refreshed?

    Hi Jimario,

    This is expected behaviour but can be mitigated by setting a “redirect url” in the form settings. This will allow you to redirect to any page on your site after the form is successfully submitted, like a “thank you” page.

    Then, when users refresh the page they will simply see the “thank you” page again. Not re-submit the form. ??

    Thanks Danny. I did see that suggestion to another forum post a few months ago. However, the client doesn’t wish to redirect to a thank you page. We have the site set up to show the alert message in a pop-up box via CSS. There’s really no reason for a user to refresh the page after submitting the form, however, if they did the email address reappears in the form field & the alert box is displayed again.

    The client really would like to solve this so that once the form is submitted, it is submitted & gone just like other forms. Is this possible with this plugin?

    This is possible with the Premium version, as you would need AJAX submission for this. With AJAX submission the page doesn’t have to refresh and you can easily hide the form. Also, with Premium version you get Premium support, that means we would be happy to configure it for you in the way you requested.
