Submit takes 55+ seconds in-line link doesn’t work

  • Hi. I am using ?Contact Form 7, Email Before Download, Download Monitor and FluentSMTP.
    After pressing Submit, the spinner runs for 55+ seconds before the success message appears and the email is sent. Also I cannot get the option of in-line links to appear on the page, it always creates an email.
    I tried switching to the default theme and deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7, EBD, Akismet Anti-Spam, Health Check & Troubleshooting, and Wordfence Security.
    The same problems occurred.
    Any suggestions to fix the spinner and the in-line link?

    1. Shortcode and a URL showing the WordPress Download Monitor working successfully
    2. Shortcode and a URL showing the Contact Form 7 working successfully
    3. Shortcode and a URL showing the Email Before Download failing/succeeding

    Hi.
    Thanks for responding. I looked at one of the other threads where you asked the user to create a new page with the same shortcodes etc. So, I did that ready to provide the details and the page worked. Take 5-8 seconds but produces the in-line link.
    I went back to the original page to find a save version, restored and it also works.
    I’ll test with email and in-line to check it all works – I’m having an issue with the thank you email, so when I have investigated further, if it looks like I will need to ask for your help, I will reach out again.

    Hi. After a week of not looking at the site, yesterday we checked and although we have not made any changes, the problem has returned. 55+ seconds of spinning after pressing submit and the in-line does not appear.
    I created another page just with the basic EBD info and the problem is the same. I have included links to both.

    As I am not that technical, I hope I have provided the requested information correctly below.
