Submit – spinning arrows status

I am trying to implement Really Simple CAPTCHA v1.8 with Contact Form 7 v4.0.
The CAPTCHA image and input field seem to be working properly, however when I click on the submit button the arrows continually spin (do not stop), so it appears to not complete the form submit?
The confirmation email from the form does complete when the correct CAPTCHA code is entered, however, the status arrows continue to spin.
Any idea as to what I need to change/look at to resolve this?
