Submit form to access downloadable content

HI all,

I have a client who would like to have a page where people are required to input contact information before they can download PDFs (primarily). Is this something that can easily be done in WP? or is there a plugin? I know that you can password protect pages, but I don’t see how that would work for this. They do not want to require people to create a login ID, they just want to be able to collect data.
