• Hi, I am using your MailChimp plugin. I have configured it so that the sign-up form is in my sidebar. The site is https://ericyoffie.com. The way it is set up, when someone clicks Submit, a message appears at the top of the form that says: “Success, you’ve been signed up! Please look for our confirmation email!”

I would like the Submit button to take them to the “Thank you” page that I created on my site (https://ericyoffie.com/subscribe) and I want to suppress the “Success” message.

I know how to do a redirect to the thank you page, but the Submit button doesn’t take me there.

Please note that I do want the error messages that appear when someone fills out the form incorrectly or is already a subscriber to still be on the top of the form. It’s only when a person correctly completes the form and clicks Submit that I want the redirect to the Thank you page. Thank you!

    Hi there Amy_Beth,

It’s not possible to mix and match form submit responses using this plugin or the MailChimp embed form – accomplishing this situation would require some more complex custom coding than I’m able to directly assist with.

I’m happy to go through the options, though. This plugin provides seamless inline responses when JavaScript support is enabled, bit when disabled, the page will refresh to display the submit response.

The embed form offers a slightly different set of inline responses when using JavaScript. The option I might recommend trying, however, would be the embed form *with JavaScript disabled* – this option would redirect the subscriber to the desired page upon success, and if there are errors it would direct to the hosted signup form in MailChimp. This would briefly take subscribers away from your site, but successful subscriptions would not encounter that issue.

    Hi,

Thank you for your response. I have another question.

I use WordPress hosted on GoDaddy.com. Where should I put the embedded code that will be generated when I create the form?

    Amy

    Hi Amy,

An embed code generated in MailChimp can be inserted anywhere in your site where you can place HTML and want your form to appear. The hosting of your website shouldn’t make a difference there. ??

If you have more questions about implementing a MailChimp signup form other than the MailChimp List Subscribe Form plugin supported here in this forum, please feel free to reach out to MailChimp tech support here: https://kb.mailchimp.com/help

I’m happy to help with any questions regarding the plugin!

    Hi Kath,

I was able to create the embedded form, with java disabled but, when I click Submit, it is not going directly to my Thank you page.

Also, is there a way to modify the error messages?

    Thank you.

Never mind. I realize now that I did not disable the java.

Is there a way to put background or border colors?

    Thanks!

Once again, I figured out the borders ??

    Thanks for all your help!
